I know, I know... another version of Venice!

This started out as a personal exercise to further develop my colormap detailing, but based on urging from my ordermates I am bowing to the pressure & uploading the finished plugin with 4 greatly differing meshes.

Let me explain...
My previous & former clans have always enjoyed the Venice map greatly, but I often wondered what it might perform like with different units & a slightly happier Colormap. This 4-mesh plugin is the outcome of that curiosity & each mesh includes all original Venice games & flag positions.

First this map, nor any of my other maps will ever include hacked or enhanced units. The Myth game is great... unless you have some worthwhile vision that will bring something usable & playable to the game I feel they have no use.

Mesh 1 - All units on this mesh are 100% of the original map.
A somewhat greener, happier Venice. Muddy water & the cacti have been replaced with nice deep Blue water & misc. tree's & an enhanced color map. The addition of Tree's makes the use of Locks waaaaaaaaaay more strategic in my opinion & a much different challenge.

Mesh 2 - Barbarians on the Darkside (light rain, though still bright map)
Same colormap, but with different units skewed to the darker & slower moving side.

Mesh 3 - Barbarians & a Giant Problem
I was curious about how you could strategically use a Myrk giant around the walls & doorways of Venice. It's quite fun... units skewed more toward the RAID direction. Also, the Assassin target is a Myrk giant. Taking down a more powerful target puts a nice spin on the game.

Mesh 4 - Lockfights Tonight
This one has been begging to be built for some time. Like the Lock/Trow fights in the Desert maps, any Venice game inevitably instigates some form of Lock fight. This map lets the main focus be just that... though there are other units to support your Locking needs like archers & Mortar dwarves, but this Mesh is definately a Lockfighters dream.
NOTE: this is also a very good map for a less-accomplished Locker to practice his craft on.

This Map has been played quite a bit over a company Ethernet system & seems to be functioning in an acceptable manner.

Please let me know any problems you may encounter with it.

Completed Plugin - Just plug it in and it works! Feel free to try it out with your friends.

Enjoy!
