Broken Tundra ReadMe

This should be the final version of this map. It probably isn't long in waiting... but it took long enough to make. After much thought and tons of laziness on my part, I have decided that this final version should be a niche map containing only 4 seperate meshes: Ghol Riot (in the spirit of MTFL's 3rd party Torpindium), Flak Dorf Riot, Rocket Riot, and Vistan Dorf Riot.

To install this map place this plugin named "Tundra_v1.0" in your plugins folder found in your Myth II folder. Easy enough.

The maps:

All meshes have eight starts with no unit trading. The reason for no unit trading is that most games have only 6-8 units per player/team. Each map supports Body Count (ewww), LMOTH, KOTH, Terries, Captures, Bacon, Flag Rally, Capture the Flag and Balls on Parade.

Ghol Riot has 8 ghols per player. This map also adds a hunting map where the targets are deer. Have fun chasing them.

Flak Dorf Riot has 3 dorf heros and 3 flak dorfs per player. The flak dorf was the first unit plugin I created. They can be loads of fun. The flak dorf shoots a mortar that must come to a stop before it explodes at which time 3 to 5 satchels pop out and create all sorts of mayhem in the enemy lines. They also have a special ability which is a pus filled mortar round which causes lots of damage... watch out though... they can harm friendlies also. There are 2 of these per dorf.

Vistan Dorf Riot was inspired by the OMAG standard favorite Vista's Tallow Abbey Dorf Riot. The units are 3 Balin's and 3 minelayers. Special thanks to Vista for permission and to El B and Ripp for (re)-creating these fun little dorfs.

Rocket Riot has 12 ghasts and 4 Rocket dorfs. The original rocket dorf was created by ig98, but OMAG got tired of the many errors and the shaking screen the rocket dorf plugin caused during play. I was inspired to rebuild this original dorf to fix the tags for our enjoyment... Now the rocket dorf has 1 special ability, a tracking (read Heat-seeking) rocket that can target and track an opponent. Use it wisely. The normal attack sends a rocket in a straight line so an opponent can move out of the line of fire.

Special thanks to OMAG for helping me test this map, to Da'minion (OMAG) for his advice and help, to Milk'd (OMAG) for taking my color map and creating something that resembled real terrain. Also thanks to all the non-OMAGs who helped me test this plugin through the myriad of betas that had bugs galore.

Also thanks to El Bastard and Ripp for use of Balin's and Minelayers. Thanks to ig98 for the Rocket dorf creation from which Rockets v.2.2 has developed.

This plugin was created using a PowerMac G3 and the awesome and powerful Bungie tools, Fear and Loathing. Start screens and maps were created using Adobe's Photoshop. This map was created by me and I maintain exclusive rights to my own intellectual property. If you desire to modify or use the meshes or units which I created and are used herein please contact me for permission. Units created by other parties belong to the respective parties mentioned in this readme. Contact them for permission to use those units. Basically have fun with these meshes and give credit where credit is due.

Do not e-mail me about strategy or changes you would like to see. If you find a bug that makes play impossible, I may consider updating the plugin. Otherwise play this map as is. Comments are welcome. Check out the OMAG Map Archive <http://www.omaguinness.com/> for other fun maps created by OMAG mapmakers.
