The Myth World Cup '99 is regarded by many as perhaps the biggest and
best tournament ever to grace bungie.net this year. Over three months,
ninety-six teams fought it out for thousands of dollars of prizes. On
August 22nd, 1999, the undefeated Bad Mo Fos met Civil Order in an
epic match to decide who would carry home the Cup.

Some third-party maps are required to view some of the
films. Specifically, the Great Divide, Creep on the Borderlands, and Calm
Before The Storm. These maps are available from the MWC99 website at
at http://www.macobserver.com/mwc99/ under Rules : Maps.

If you don't want to know how the match ends, stop reading
now. Otherwise, read on and I will explain to you why there are
fifteen films in this archive.

The Grand Final was a seven-game match, played out using the MWC99
scoring rules. At the end of this match (films 1-7), Civil Order had
won by a good thirty-point margin. But because they already had one
loss in the tournament's Double Elimination structure (BMF had none),
the teamswere now merely on an equal footing and the match went to
Sudden Death.

In this situation, the teams keep playing, each picking alternate games,
until one side or the other wins two consecutive games - they are then
crowned the winners. BMF and Civil struggled back and forth, until in
a pair of extremely close games Civil Order managed to pull ahead and
take the Cup.

I hope you enjoy these films! Many, many more matches may be found
on the MWC99 website if you liked these ones.
